All Allvoi subscribers can download and use our softphone without charge.  Having a softphone allows you to make Allvoi calls the same day that you sign up for service.  It also allows you to make Allvoi calls from any computer that has broadband access.  To use the softphone, simply download it and install it by going to Allvoi.com and clicking on the DWNLD Softphone link:  http://www.allvoi.com/phones.php?id=27   

Run the program and follow the installation instructions, then reboot your computer. After reboot, click on the Allvoi softphone icon near the Windows Start Button and enter your 7 digit Allvoi account number in the “IP Phone No” field and enter the same 7 digit number again in the “User Name” field.  Enter your 6 digit Allvoi password in the password field, and then click OK. You should now see an Allvoi softphone on your computer monitor.  Use a microphone headset and you can now enter destination telephone numbers 1+area code+xxx+xxxx. Hit the green phone button (or enter) to start dialing and talking.
